Mega auction was held last time, so this time there will be a mini-auction. Out of 405 players, 273 will be domestic and 132 from foreign countries. Last time the teams had a purse of Rs 90 crore in the mega auction. This time he will get Rs 95 crore to spend on players. However, the number of players currently available with the teams will be reduced from this purse.
The PL auction this year has 117 slots spread across 10 teams. That is, out of 405 players only a maximum of 117 players will be selected. The Hyderabad team has the maximum number of 17 slots. At the same time, Delhi has a minimum number of 7 players.
All the 10 teams of IPL have purse full after releasing the players. In this, the Hyderabad team has the highest amount of Rs 42.25 crore. They can buy 17 players with this money.
How much money are left with the other teams?
After releasing the players, Chennai Super Kings now have Rs 20.45 crore, Royal Challengers Bangalore Rs 8.75 crore, Rajasthan Royals Rs 13.2 crore and Kolkata Knight Riders Rs 7.05 crore.Last year's defending champions Gujarat Titans will go into the auction with Rs 19.25 crore. At the same time, Mumbai Indians will bid in the auction with Rs 20.55, Punjab Kings 32.2 and Delhi Capitals Rs 19.45 crore.
