IPL 2025 Schedule Announced: KKR vs RCB in Season Opener on March 22, Final on May 25
The two five-time IPL champions – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) – will face each other on the 23rd at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
IPL 2025 Schedule Announced: On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The 18th edition of the glitzy tournament will begin on March 22, 2025, with the Final being held on May 25, 2025.The 74 matches this season will be played in 13 venues, and there will be 12 double-headers. Afternoon matches will begin at 03.30 PM IST and evening matches will start from 07.30 PM IST.

It will start with the match on March 22, 2025, when the defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The first double-header day of the 12 will occur on March 23,2025, when the two teams will face off with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the afternoon match in Hyderabad. The evening will witness an electric battle between the two five-time IPL champions – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) – at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will play their first match of the season with a face-off on March 24, 2025, in Visakhapatnam. On March 25, 2025, the world's biggest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, will host its first game of the season with Gujarat Titans (GT) taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Three out of the ten IPL teams will play at 2 venues each. DC will play their home games in Visakhapatnam and at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. RR will play their two home games at Guwahati - where they host KKR and CSK – and play the remainder of the home games at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Meanwhile, PBKS will play their four home matches at the New PCA Stadium, Chandigarh, while three home games of PBKS at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala will be against LSG, DC and MI.
After the league stage, the playoffs will be held in Hyderabad and Kolkata. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator matches will be conducted in Hyderabad on May 20 and May 21, respectively, and the action will shift to Kolkata where Qualifier 2 will be played on May 23, 2025. The all-important final of the TATA IPL 2025 will be played on May 25, 2025.
