There is good news for people planning to celebrate Christmas and New Year outside the country. In fact, the government has allowed international air travel from December 15 after a full 632-day ban. The government had banned international flights on March 22, three days before the Corona lockdown last year.
Now air travel can be done to those countries where the situation of Kovid is under control. However, the ban on traveling to 14 countries will still continue. These include the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, South Africa, Brazil, China, Mauritius, Singapore, Bangladesh, Botswana, Zimbabwe and New Zealand.
The government has taken this decision in view of the new variant of corona virus. Flight service continues under air bubble agreements with many of the 14 countries whose air travel is still banned by the government. At present, India has air bubble arrangements with 31 countries including the US, UK, UAE.
