Instagram looks to be testing a new function that is comparable to Twitter's Super Follows, as per TechCrunch. The prospective future feature, dubbed "Exclusive Stories," will allow creators to submit exclusive content to their Instagram stories that is likely only available to subscribers, according to developer Alessandro Paluzzi.
Similar to YouTube's membership function, Twitter had also recently put out a tool called "Super Follows," which allows users with a specific amount of followers to provide exclusive material for a subscription fee.
Following that, assuming the testing phase goes well, Instagram plans to launch an unnamed exclusive stories feature.

If you try to view an exclusive story without being a fan of the person sharing it, you'll see a pop-up saying that only fans may watch it.
Adam Mosseri, the platform's CEO, has been upfront about the possibility of subscriptions. In the last year, there has been a lot of attention on allowing creators to monetise their work across a variety of social media platforms.
Following Substack's meteoric rise, Instagram's parent company, Facebook, recently announced the launch of Bulletin, a newsletter platform.
Twitter launched Super Follows and Ticketed Spaces apps earlier this month, which, although still relatively obscure, have some parallels to this prospective Instagram feature.
