Indian Scientists may come up with a Dengue DNA Vaccine for the first time

Zydus Cadila’s DNA vaccine for Covid-19 is considered as a model to develop a shot for dengue based on the same formula. This comes as the Centre has issued a warning to 11 states against dengue strain. The government of Delhi has swung into action and launched a 10 Hafte-10 Baje-10 Minute campaign to control the spread.

Last week, the Centre asked 11 states reporting cases of serotype- II dengue, which is a more detrimental form of the disease to make sure implementation of preventive measures ahead of the festive season and spread necessary awareness among people about the virus. The 11 states which are reeling under the DEN-2 virus are Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana.
