India responded democratically to the conspiracies to crush democracy, says PM Modi in Germany
Addressing a crowd in Germany at the G7 Summit, Modi heralded the importance and essence of Democracy and how every Indian knows India is a mother of Democracy.
Addressing the Indian origin people in Germany earlier today, PM Modi emphasized the essence of Democracy. He said, "The democracy which is our pride, which democracy is in the DNA of every Indian, forty-seven years ago at this time, an attempt was made to hold that democracy hostage, and crush the democracy. The people of India have given the answer to all the conspiracies to crush democracy, in a democratic way.
We Indians take pride in our democracy wherever we live. Every Indian proudly says India is the Mother of Democracy. The PM said that India has shown how well democracy is delivered in such a vast and so diverse country. The way crores of Indians have achieved big goals together, is unprecedented. Today every village in India is Open Defecation Free.
PM Modi said that today electricity has reached every village in India. Today almost every village in India is connected by road. More than 99 percent people of in India have a gas connection for clean cooking. Every family in India is connected to the banking system. Today every poor of India is getting the facility of free treatment of 5 lakh rupees. In this time of Corona, India is ensuring free food grains to 80 crores of the poor for the last two years. Not only this, on average, a unicorn is being made in India every 10 days. He said that today the India of the 21st century, in the fourth industrial revolution, in Industry 4.0, is not one of the laggards, but one of the leaders of this industrial revolution. India is waving its flag in information technology and digital technology.
During the address, PM Modi said that India is now ready, ready, and impatient. India is impatient, for progress, for development. India is impatient, for its dreams, for the fulfillment of its dreams. Today 90 percent of adults in India have received both doses of the vaccine. 95 percent of adults are those who have taken at least one dose. This is the same as India, where some people were saying that it will take 10-15 years to vaccinate the 1.25 billion population. The courage of the people of India is our biggest strength even in the most difficult situations. Last year we have exported the highest ever. This is proof that while our creators are ready for new opportunities, the world is also looking at us with hope and confidence.
