New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a confidence-boosting message to the Indian Men’s Hockey team, who lost to World Champions Belgium 2-5 in the Semi Final of Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday. He also wished the Team the very best for the next match and their future endeavours. Mr. Modi also talked to Indian captain Manpreet Singh over the phone. The PM watched the Hockey Semi Final match and in an early morning tweet he wrote, “I am watching India vs Belgium Men’s Hockey Semi Final #tokyo2020. Proud of our team and their skills. Wishing them the very best! ”
The Indian team will now play the Bronze medal match on August 5.
