After the first round of counting of all assembly constituencies in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, Dimple Yadav now seems to be taking a winning lead. Dimple is leading by a total of 50,000 votes so far, counting is underway.
Counting of votes has started for the by-elections in six assembly constituencies of 5 states including Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh. The results of the by-elections held on all the constituencies of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are also to come today. This time everyone's eyes are on Rampur and Khatauli, two assembly seats in UP.

In the assembly by-elections, the Congress is leading in Bhanupratappur in Chhattisgarh and Sardarshahar in Rajasthan. Whereas, BJD is leading in Odisha's Padampur, BJP in Bihar's Kurhani, Samajwadi Party is leading in Rampur. BJP's Kedar Prasad Gupta is ahead in Bihar's Kurhani, Congress leader Anil Kumar Sharma is leading in Rajasthan's Sardarshahar. The BJP is now trailing by 129 votes in Rampur, the bastion of SP leader Azam Khan. BJP candidate Akash Saxena is trailing SP's Amis Raza by 129 votes.
Counting has started on 14 tables in UP's Khatauli assembly seat. In the counting of postal ballots, RLD candidates are leading from Khatauli assembly seat. Here there is a contest between BJP's Rajkumari Saini and RLD's Madan Bhaiya. Apart from this, 12 more candidates are also in the fray.
