IAF Apache Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Ladakh: According to the Indian Air Force, an Apache helicopter made an emergency landing in Ladakh on Wednesday due to undulating terrain and a high altitude. Both pilots were unharmed.
A Court of Inquiry has been ordered by the IAF.

A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the crash, according to the IAF. Both pilots are safe and have been recovered to the nearest airbase.

The incident occurred days after IAF helicopters landed on a stretch of the national highway connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country as part of an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) drill, the first of its kind in the state.
Two Chinook helicopters, one Mi-17 helicopter and two Advance Light helicopters (ALH) landed on the Wanpoh-Sangam stretch of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway early Tuesday morning, officials said.
With a top speed of 310 kmph and a travel range of 741 km, the Chinook helicopter can transport over 33 fully-equipped troops and have space for 24 stretchers.
As a result of natural disasters, the Mi-17 helicopters have been utilized for relief and rescue operations.
This 3.5-km emergency landing strip was built in 2020 as part of a programme initiated by the IAF and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to create ELFs across the country.
