Gourav Vallabh Can't Support Anti-Sanatan Slogans, Vallabh Explains His Departure from Congress
The Congress is disconnected from the ground and cannot grasp the aspirations of a new India, preventing it from coming to power and playing a powerful opposition role.
Gourav Vallabh Explains His Departure from Congress: In a social media post today, Congress spokesperson Gourav Vallabh expressed dissatisfaction with the party's current trajectory.
The resignation letter Vallabh wrote to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge was published on X: "The directionless path the Congress party is currently taking makes me uncomfortable. I cannot support anti-Sanatan slogans nor can I criticise the country's wealth creators day in and day out. Therefore, I am resigning from all positions and the primary membership of the Congress party."
He sent a two-page resignation letter to party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
"I am feeling emotional. My heart is heavy. There's a lot I wish to express, write, and share. However, my principles forbid me from uttering anything that might cause harm to others. Nevertheless, today, I am presenting my thoughts to you because I firmly believe that concealing the truth is also an offence, and I refuse to be involved in it," he wrote in the letter.
Vallabh, a spokesperson for the grand old party, has not appeared on television or held press conferences for several months.
The Congress is disconnected from the ground and cannot grasp the aspirations of a new India, preventing it from coming to power and playing a powerful opposition role.
According to him, the Congress party is moving in the wrong direction, against its core principles.
It follows the defection of boxer Vijender Singh to the BJP shortly before Mr Vallabh's resignation.
