Hyundai Ioniq 5 Recall in India Over ICCU Problem: How to Check Your Car’s Status

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Recall in India Over ICCU Problem: Hyundai, the South Korean automobile industry has announced that its tech model Ioniq 5 has been found defective, and there are some problems with the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU).
The Integrated Charging Control Unit controls and transfers the high voltage of the main battery to a lower voltage that is perfect for charging the secondary battery.
Thus, Hyundai has decided to recall all the units so that it can fix the issues, a total of 1,700 units are reported to have this issue.
As per the notice, Hyundai has asked the owner of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 to take their car to the nearest Hyundai dealership to get their EV repaired.
The Hyundai that were sold between the release date to April 30, 2024, are reported as having this issue with the Integrated Charging Control Unit.

The company has decided to give customers a smooth service, the company has taken steps to fix the issue for free.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 was launched in India on January 2023 and created a good impression in India by receiving a 90% rating score in India from the owners.
It was launched for Rs. 48.87 Lakh (on-road) and was introduced only one variant with a 72.6 kWh battery setup that gives it an amazing range of 631 km on a single charge.
As per the company, the battery can reach 80 percent in less than 20 minutes if it is charged by a 350 kW DC charger. However, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 produces a maximum power of 215 bhp and a peak torque of 350 Nm.
This issue with the Integrated Charging Control Unit has led Hyundai to face a great loss but to its customers better experience and seamless services, it has made this decision.
