Hoax Threats Continue in Delhi: At least 45 private schools and 3 Delhi University colleges received hoax bomb threat emails on Friday morning and panic spread among students, parents and teachers and agencies were on high alert.
This is the highest number of bomb hoax threats received by educational institutions in the city in a single day. At least 55 institutions have been targeted in the past 4 days.
An officer said that as soon as the threats were received, teams from Delhi Police, Delhi Fire Services, Bomb Disposal Squad and dog squads were rushed to the sites. The premises were evacuated and searched but nothing suspicious was found.
The email seen by Hindustan Times was sent from roadkillmentalhospital@atomicmail.io at 10.53pm on Thursday.
Titled “‘Roadkill’ via SV Info”, the message was marked to 45 schools — several of them marked twice. The sender wrote, “I am writing to let you know that I have placed several explosive devices (trinitrotoluene) within school classrooms. The explosives are skillfully hidden, in black plastic bags.” The person also wrote “they hate their life and will die by suicide after the news kick in”.
The email also had disturbing remarks about suicide and accused psychiatrists and psychologists of not providing care. “You only care about medicating the helpless and clueless humans,” the message read.
Schools in Pitampura (Maxfort Junior School and Guru Nanak School) and Paschim Vihar (Richmond School and Doon Public School) also had tense hours after receiving these emails.

Cyber sleuths have started their work and are tracing the origin of these threats, said a police official.
Similar scenes were witnessed in schools in other parts of the city.
Summerfield International School in South Delhi, Bharti Public School (Swasthya Vihar), Hamdard Public School (Sangam Vihar), St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School (Raj Niwas Marg), North Delhi Public School (Shalimar Bagh), New Delhi Public School (Vikaspuri), Mira Nursery School (Janakpuri), Prudence School, The Indian School (Sadiq Nagar), Delhi Public School (Mathura Road), Mater Dei School (Tilak Lane) are among the 45 schools that received the email threats.
“I did not send my son (to school) today. It is not that we are panicking, but after repeated incidents, it feels safer to wait things out,” said Parmita Sharma, a parent whose child studies at Richmond School, Paschim Vihar.
Many parents had to rush to schools, leaving their work mid-way, after receiving the threat.
“Even if there is nothing, we cannot ignore the fear these messages cause. Parents can’t focus on work, and the children feel tense too. It is an emotional rollercoaster,” a father of a student of St Thomas Schools in Dwarka said.
