H-1B Visa Registration 2025 Closes on March 24: The initial registration period for the fiscal year 2025 H-1B cap will officially close at noon (ET) on Monday, March 24. What’s next?
After the initial registration closes, selected applicants can start filing the H-1B petition for FY 2026. The filing window for an H-1B cap-subject petition will run for a minimum of 90 days.
When will the next H-1B window open?
It is difficult to predict when the FY 2027 H-1B window will open but will appear based on the current scheme in March of 2026. Thus, it is always best to check the USCIS website for the most updated data. Moreover, for every registration submitted for the 2026 H-1B cap season on behalf of a beneficiary, there will be a cost of $215.
During the season of H-1B cap registration, petitioners and representatives prospectively are mandated to make use of an online account of US Citizenship and Immigration Services, or USCIS, to electronically register each beneficiary for selection.
