Gold and Silver Rates Today On August 14: The gold rates for 22-carat today have increased by Rs 950 compared to last day’s gold price while 24-carat gold today in India went up by a massive Rs 1,040 in the last 24 hours.

Gold and Silver Rates Today On August 14: On the second consecutive day of the gold rate hike, the gold prices today in India went up significantly.
On August 14, the gold rate for 22-carat stands at Rs 65,650 per 10 grams while the gold rate for 24-carat costs Rs 71,620 per 10 grams.
The gold rates for 22-carat today have increased by Rs 950 compared to last day’s gold price while 24-carat gold today in India went up by a massive Rs 1,040 in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday the 22-carat gold rate stood at Rs 64,700 per 10 grams and the 24-carat gold rate was priced at Rs 70,580 per 10 grams.
The silver price today in India also hiked by Rs 1000 compared to yesterday’s price and stands at Rs 83,500 per kilogram.
In the MCX, the gold futures contracts maturing on October 2024 went up by Rs 8 and were trading at Rs 70,691 per 10 grams while the silver futures contracts expiring on September 2024 increased by Rs 61 and were trading at Rs 81,110 per kg.
If you are planning to buy gold today, then it is suggested that today is not a good day to purchase gold or jewelry as the gold rates have increased by massive numbers.

The last massive fluctuation in gold and silver rates was in July 2024 when the Union Budget was announced by the Finance Minister that reduced the excise duty taxes imposed on gold and silver to 6% from 15% previously.
However, this led to a massive drop in gold and silver rates by Rs 4000 on the extra day of the Budget.
