G20 Summit: Delhi will rise before the G20 summit, foreign flowers being planted for beautification
Municipal Corporation of Delhi including New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Public Works Department (PWD) and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Recreational public places like roundabouts, dividers, footpaths of roads, land parcels under flyovers, steep greenery and parks and other Planting flowers. So that they create a pleasant atmosphere.
Preparations are underway for the G20 Summit to be held in Delhi next year. On the instructions of Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena, the work of beautification has been started by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The corporation has started planting saplings of seasonal flowers in the city. India will assume the presidency of the G20 for one year from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023.

In Delhi, PWD maintains about 1400 km of roads while MCD has more than 15 thousand parks with 5500 acres of land. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has earmarked 375 public places for planting exotic flowers in all its 12 areas.
These places include 16 flyovers, 261 colony parks, 27 parks located in markets, 62 parks on main roads and 9 roundabouts. MCD has started making beds at the places where it will plant exotic flowers. Which will enhance the beauty of the city. These flowers will have a soothing effect on the eyes and mind of the citizens.
Nehru Place Flyover, Sarai Kale Khan Flyover, Lajpat Nagar Flyover, South Extension Flyover, Kalkaji Flyover, Seelampur Flyover, Gokulpuri Flyover, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Shalimar Park, Priyadarshini Park, Teacher Park Nimdi Colony, Vaishali Vatika Park Pitampura. Along with these there are other places where flowers will be planted.
