Former IAS Shah Faesal, who left the government job and joined politics, has indicated to return to service. Shah, who was the first UPSC topper of Jammu and Kashmir, tweeted one after the other on Wednesday. In this, he talks about his idealism when he resigned from his government job in 2019 to join politics.
Shah tweeted, 'In the last eight months (January 2019-August 2019) I was broken. I lost almost everything that I had built up through many years of hard work, be it a job, friends, or reputation. My idealism has let me down, but I haven't lost hope.
He wrote, 'I believe in myself that I will correct the mistakes I did. Life will give me one more chance. I want to completely erase the past 8 months. Failures make us strong. I have turned 39 and looking forward to a fresh start.
However, Faisal did not specify what he meant by 'one more chance'. He is expected to return to government service as an IAS officer or as an advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Friends and colleagues who have worked with Faisal have supported his decision to return to service.
