Foreign Minister Jaishankar inaugurated the World Hindi Conference in Fiji

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar inaugurated the 12th World Hindi Conference in Fiji. During this, the Foreign Minister said that it is a great pleasure to be among all of you on the occasion of the inauguration of the 12th World Hindi Conference. I thank the Government of Fiji for being our cooperative partner in this regard. It is also an opportunity for many of us to visit Fiji and foster our old ties.

In events like World Hindi Conference, it is natural that our focus should be on various aspects of Hindi language, its global usage and its dissemination. We will discuss issues such as the status of Hindi in Fiji, the Pacific region and contracting countries. The External Affairs Minister further said that the time is gone when westernization was considered the standard of progress in the world. Many such languages, traditions which were suppressed during the colonial period Had gone, again raising her voice on the global stage. In such a situation, it is necessary that the world knows about all cultures and societies. During this, External Affairs Minister S.
