Wednesday was a dreadful day in the country in terms of Corona virus. For the first time in the third wave, more than 2 lakh cases were found during 24 hours. Around 2 lakh 26 thousand new corona infected had been found. During this, 76,447 people were cured, but 355 people have died. An increase of 1 lakh 49 thousand 224 has also been registered in the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment. For the first time, the total active cases have crossed 10 lakhs. Presently 10.98 lakh corona infected are undergoing treatment.
On the other hand, Wednesday was a scary day in Delhi in terms of corona virus. On Wednesday, 27,561 new cases were found in the national capital, which is the second biggest increase in daily cases in the third wave in 24 hours. The capital has also recorded 40 deaths. Now 97 people have died here during the last four days. There were 23 deaths here on Tuesday as well, which was the highest number of deaths in a single day in the third wave of the pandemic.
21,259 new cases were found in the capital on Tuesday and 19,166 on Monday. Although 14,957 people were also recovered in Delhi on Wednesday. Now the total active cases have gone up to 87,445 and the positivity rate has reached 26%.
