Northeast Delhi’s Police solve sensational Robbery Case in Seelampur Area, arrests five Robbers involved
New Delhi: Five men involved in several cases of robbery were arrested from Northeast Delhi’s Seelampur area, the police said on Tuesday. Cash worth Rs 3,66,500, two country-made pistols, a stolen Pulsar MS 200 motorcycle, a TVS Scooty, and one Volks Wagon Polo Car was also recovered from them.
On the 10th of March, in the Seelampur area of the national capital, a robbery case was reported wherein, three motorcycle bore vigilantes robbed Rupees Six Lakhs in cash from a man named Sushil Kumar Bansal. Accordingly, an FIR under the 392/397/34 IPC, was registered in the Seelampur Police Station, and the investigation was taken up.
The Team was thus formed and assigned the task to solve the case and get hold of the culprits. The team comprised of SI Akhil Chaudhary, Const. Jaiveer Singh, Const. Navneesh, Const. Nitin, SI Akhil, ASI Jaivir, ASI Anil, HC Irfan, Const. Nitin, Const. Rajesh from Special Staff under the supervision of SHO/Seelampur and Inspr. Vikas Kumar Buldak.
According to Sanjay Kumar Sain, the Dy Commissioner of Police for the North-East District, “The Delhi Police amalgamated the use of technical surveillance and manual source to catch the culprits. After detailed analysis, the police team zeroed in on CCTV footage in which 3 persons were visible on a motorcycle. The timing matched and we developed further information to identify the criminals, he added.
The Police then laid a trap on the 18th of March and caught two people on a motorcycle near the Pandushila Mandir in the Seelampur Area. Amounts of Rs. 58,000 and Rs. 61,500 were recovered from both the riders instantly. The Police identified them as Alishan (23) and Mohd. kaif (23). Reportedly, the motorcycle which was their ride was also found to be stolen as per e-FIR No. 003351/2022, dated 08.02.2022 under Section 379 IPC, registered in the Shahdara Police Station, Delhi. On further interrogation, they confessed to their crime and involvement in the shocking robbery.
The accused further disclosed about their associates and revealed that the robbery was committed by a group of 5 persons. 3 members, who robbed the cash, were on the recovered motorcycle and 2 were escorting them on a scooty. Basis their statements, the Delhi Police also arrested their associates who had played a part in the robbery. The accused who stand arrested are named Alishan(23), Mohd Kaif (23), Kazim (22), and Shoaib (22). According to the Police, the accused also have prior records in Robbery.
