As the seven-phase assembly elections have come to an end today, exit polls conducted by various research agencies shown on different news channels have given an edge to the BJP over all other parties in Uttar Pradesh.
It has been projected by various news channels that BJP may win anywhere between 211 to 326 seats in Uttar Pradesh, where Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party will win anywhere between 71 to 165 seats and come second in the race to form a government in the state.
The majority of Exit polls have given below 250 seats to BJP in a total of 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Any number above 202 is good enough for any political party to form a government. The Congress seems to be struggling and all the Exit Polls show that it would get between 1 to 9 seats which is abysmal.
The BJP was confident since the beginning of the election that they would win this time again under the leadership of Adityanath Yogi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had earlies said that the Party would get over 300 seats in the elections.
It will only now on March 10 the country will come to know who is going to rule Uttar Pradesh for the next five years.
Thought SP chief Yadav has completely rejected the Exit Polls result and said that his party will emerge victorious in this elections.
