Elon Musk Mistakenly Refers to X as Twitter: The ‘X’ owner, Elon Musk while criticizing Brazil for banning his social media platform ‘X’ operations made a mistake. Elon Musk shared a meme on his X account which called the social media platform ‘X’ by its old name ‘Twitter’.

The meme also suggests that people in Brazil utilize VPNs to access the social media platform.

Musk also insisted that people who use the social media platform are not satisfied with calling it ’X’. They still prefer the previous name "Twitter" in conversations and polls.

However, after Elon Musk used by mistakenly used the previous name, people on the internet who noticed it jumped on him. Users also mocked him for not sticking to the name of his platform and for the "failed" renaming.

A user also said, “so you agree, it's still Twitter?”, while another pointed out the irony, “Brazil banned Twitter you say? they banned TWITTER?”

Another user calling the name lame, said, “So funny even musk calls it twitter bro just give up X is such a lame name.” And another noted that even Musk could not escape the prevalence of Twitter's brand, "See how Elon is posting memes where the site is called "Twitter" instead of "X", I think it's extremely funny that he didn't even edit it to say the other way."

Some other users also thought the change wasn’t worth the resources that were invested. One user added, “Buying a company, changing the name, and then posting memes with the old name might be one of the most wild things I've ever seen lmaooooooooo.” And another said, “U renamed the platform and still call it twitter. Epic waste of $44B and renaming and rebranding. We all still love calling it “Twitter”.”
