Election Commission Registers Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam as Actor Vijay’s Political Party
Vijay Thalapathy launched his political party on 2nd February 2024 and has now been officially recognized by the Election Commission of India and can now participate in electoral politics.

"We applied for our party's recognition with the Election Commission on 2nd February. After legally scrutinizing our petition, our nation's Election Commission has registered our Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and approved our party to participate in electoral politics,” Vijay said.“This is the first door that has opened to us to achieve victory in various directions".

Vijay is a very big name in South India the people of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and other southern states, literally, worship him and his stardom has expanded all over India due to the pan-India Cinema Revolution. Two weeks ago Vijay revealed the flag and symbol of his newborn party. The flag was red and maroon on the top and bottom, and yellow in the middle, featuring two elephants and a Vaagai flower.
"I know you all are waiting for our first state conference. Preparations are on for it and very soon I will announce it. Before that, I unveiled our party's flag today. I feel very proud... We will work together for the development of Tamil Nadu," Vijay said.

“Let's break the barriers, raise the flag, carry the torch of policy, and come to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam as the leading political party for the people of Tamil Nadu,”
Before unveiling the fag Vijay said “We will always appreciate the fighters who fought and sacrificed their life for the liberation of our country and countless soldiers who fought tirelessly for the rights of our people from Tamil soil...” He added “I will remove the differences in the name of caste, religion, gender, and place of birth, create awareness among the people, and strive for equal opportunities and equal rights for all. I solemnly affirm that I will uphold the principle of equality for all living beings,
He emphasized "fundamental political change" with a "transparent, caste-free, and corruption-free". On Sunday he urged his party to wait for the meeting so they could propagate the party ideology. He is ready to participate in the 2026 State Assembly elections.
