Dhanush Sues Nayanthara: Reports say that the actor Dhanush has filed a civil suit against Nayanthara for using footage from his production "Naanum Rowdy Dhaan" in a Netflix documentary without permission. According to The Hindu, the lawsuit was filed under the jurisdiction of Madras High Court where both Nayanthara and her spouse, filmmaker Vigneesh Sivan, are named as co-defendants.

Wunderbar Films has also asked Madras High Court for permission, under Clause 12 of the Letters Patent, to include Los Gatos Production Services India LLP in their case. The firm is based in Mumbai through which Netflix reports its content investments in India. ",

Now read this, Nayanthara upfront slapped Dhanush on 16th November for sending her a notice under which he demanded payments of Rs. 10 crores. The actress later posted a long message this Saturday on her social media, Instagram, bringing out her side of the tale. One point she made in this regard was that at the time of production of her recent Netflix documentary "Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale", she had requested such permissions from Dhanush to use any visual from their movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan of 2015, which he refused and rather sent her a legal notice for using behind-the-scenes visuals from the sets of the movie.
On 16th November, actress Nayanthara hit out at Dhanush for sending a legal notice seeking Rs 10 crores from her. The actress posted a long open letter on her Instagram, explaining how she had sought Dhanush's permission for the documentary as part of her preparations for the overall making of Netflix film Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale to access visuals from their joint venture Naanum Rowdy Dhaan from the year 2015. But in vain because Dhanush disallowed and sent a legal notice to use behind-the-scenes footage from the sets of the movie.
