The daily cases of corona may be less in many areas, but the havoc of dengue continues. The national capital is witnessing a significant increase in dengue cases. Dr. Rajni, Medical Superintendent, Swami Dayanand Hospital said, “Around 250-300 cases of fever are coming in which 70-80% dengue cases are coming. Beds are available, we have converted surgical ward into dengue ward.”
There has been an increase in the cases of dengue and viral fever in Prayagraj. Dr. KK Mishra of Motilal Nehru Mandal Hospital said, “There are 19 patients in our ward now, all are new patients so dengue cannot be confirmed yet but most of the patients have low platelets.”
Dengue cases increase in October. The District Collector has instructed us that door-to-door survey and monitoring should be done in the wards where dengue cases are high. So far 1,165 dengue cases have been reported in Gwalior.
