Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, furious over Manish Sisodia's charge
The LG wrote, "In the interest of good governance, I urge you to restrain your ministers from making such nonsense statements which are misleading and create detriment." Saxena also explained the legal status of his rights along with the allegations leveled against him by Sisodia.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Kumar Saxena on Tuesday wrote to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, refuting Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's allegations that he is favoring the BJP and urging Kejriwal to mislead his ministers.
Manish Sisodia had sent a letter to the LG a few days ago, accusing him of favoring the BJP, in connection with allowing the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) to investigate alleged irregularities in the construction of seven temporary hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a letter to Kejriwal, Saxena said it is sad and shocking that the Deputy Chief Minister has made a factual and legal misrepresentation on the matter and unnecessarily politicized the desired administrative action. He reminded the Chief Minister that in the meeting to be held every Friday, they (both) had agreed on zero tolerance to corruption and sought his cooperation for this.
