Delhi Records Season’s Highest Temperature at 36°C Despite Holi Rain
Rain fell in Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi on Friday, March 15. Delhi witnessed the hottest day so far this season with a maximum of 36.2 degrees Celsius, 7.3 notches above normal.
Delhi Records Season’s Highest Temperature: Rain in areas around Delhi on Friday marked a rainy Holi. The City kept its promise with light to moderate rain over parts of the cities from the afternoon as forecasted by the India Meteorological Department. With this, Delhi witnessed the hottest day so far this season with a maximum of 36.2 degrees Celsius, 7.3 notches above normal.
On Friday, greater Noida and Ghaziabad close to Delhi also received some rain.

Delhi recorded minimum temperature of 17.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2.5 notches above normal as it started off sunny.

According to IMD, the general weather is expected to be cloudy with the possibility of very light drizzle or rain towards the later half of the day or the night.
The IMD said that the maximum temperature of Delhi was expected to be around 33 degrees and relative humidity was 80 percent at 8:30 AM.
Summer's here
The IMD data revealed that with a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius recorded on Thursday, Delhi has already stepped into the summer season. Tuesday was recorded as the hottest day so far in 2023 for Delhi, with maximums of 34.8 degrees Celsius, 6.4 notches above normal.
The IMD stated that Thursday's minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 18.6 degrees Celsius.
Pollution data released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) show that air quality in Delhi remained moderate, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 170 around 6 in the evening on Thursday.
An AQI of 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 'satisfactory', 101-200 is considered 'moderate', 201-300 is 'poor', 301-400 very poor', and anything above this is considered 'severe'.
The AQI reading in Delhi reached 201 around 4 pm on Friday.
