Delhi Private Schools' Admission Guidelines as applicable to EWS and Other Categories
New Delhi: Thus, starting from 2 February, fresh recruits under the economically weaker section, disadvantaged groups and children with special needs categories for private schools admissions will commence online registration in India.
On 3 January, the Delhi Directorate of Education issued a notification? on the admission guidelines for nursery to class 1 entry into the EWS/disadvantaged groups and special needs categories in private unaided recognised schools in the city.

According to DoE, the online application process will be starting from February 3 and applicants can submit their forms until February 19. The first round of computerised draw of lots for selected students will be announced on March 3.
Guidelines specify Age Limits: As for EWS and DG categories, the children admitted must be between three and five for nursery, four and six for KG and five and under seven for Class 1.

For CWSN, the proposed limit falls under the 3-to-7-year category for nursery, the 4-to-8-year category for KG, and the 5-to-7-year category for Class 1, it further stated.
According to DoE rules, EWS refers to children from families with income less than Rs 5 lakh per annum with an income certificate from revenue department of Delhi.
DG include SC, ST, OBC, orphan, transgender, and HIV-affected children, it mentioned.
Further, children with disabilities would have a government disability certificate. No income certificate would be required from them, added DoE.
