Delhi government had allocated Rs 60 crore for the students, spent Rs 52.52 crore on the promotion of the scheme
There is absolutely no information about the field or topic or any real impact of the project on the entrepreneurial ideas generated by the students. The source further claimed, the report has only a few lines on the objectives of course material and disbursement of Rs 2,000 per student.
An internal report of the Delhi government has revealed shocking. According to this internal report, the Delhi government had allocated Rs 60 crore for the project in 2021-2022 on the Entrepreneurial Mindset Curriculum launched for classes 9 to 12 to promote entrepreneurship among students. A source informed that out of this allocation, only Rs 56.14 crore was disbursed to give a grant of Rs 2,000 per student to the school for pursuing its business idea.
The report also revealed that the Delhi government spent Rs 52.52 crore on advertisements for the distribution of the scheme. The source said that during only two months from November 2021 to January 2022, a total of Rs 28,79,20,000 (about 29 crores) was spent by the AAP government on different TV channels for airing 8 episodes with only 24 teams. The report states that the DIP spent an additional amount of Rs 23,73,04,357.56 (around Rs 24 crore) on print media, TVC promos, radio, outdoor and digital channels.
The source said, ridicules the rationale of spending Rs 52.52 crore in the name of promoting a project which is actually giving only Rs 2,000 per student to create and execute an entrepreneurial idea. The internal note does not say anything about the actual inputs and process applied to inculcate the entrepreneurial mindset under EMC. There is no mention of any expert linkages, entrepreneurship labs or incubation centers being developed at the school level. There is absolutely no information about the field or topic or any real impact of the project on the entrepreneurial ideas generated by the students. The source further claimed, the report has only a few lines on the objectives of course material and disbursement of Rs 2,000 per student.
