Delhi CM Announcement LIVE: To mark the beginning of the BJP's governance in the national capital, preparations are in full swing for the grand oath-taking ceremony of the new Delhi Chief Minister on Thursday, February 20. The grand event will take place at Ramlila Maidan and a large number of people are expected to participate.

On February 19, that is today, the newly elected BJP MLAs will meet to elect the legislative party leader. The Chief Minister face will be unveiled amid speculations over Parvesh Verma or Vijender Gupta being the most eligible candidate. The stage is set and arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony are being looked after by BJP leaders Tarun Chugh and Vinod Tawde.

Delhi CM Announcement LIVE: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs in Delhi will meet at 7pm on Wednesday to elect the legislative party leader, who will take oath as the chief minister on February 20. Reports have suggested that the party is looking to pick the next CM from a group of newly elected MLAs and is also considering a woman MLA to take up the role.

“People of Delhi have punished a tyrant ruler for his lies, deceit and fraud. Under the leadership of PM Modi, Delhi will head towards being a world-class capital. Every poor, common people are the biggest VIP and they will be present here to bless PM Narendra Modi and new cabinet. Ceremony is scheduled to be held at 11 am tomorrow,” he said.

The BJP has invited around 30,000 guests to the oath-taking ceremony of the new Delhi chief minister at Ramlila Maidan on Thursday.

Key RSS leaders and spiritual Dharm Gurus will attend the oath ceremony. Industrialists and celebrities, along with Laddli Bahanas and farmers from Delhi, are also likely to attend the programme.

BJP leaders and workers from other states who were deployed for the Delhi Assembly elections have also been invited to the ceremony.
