Deepika Padukone Debunks Diet Myths: Deepika Padukone has been the center of attention since her pregnancy and her fans were shocked to see her so fit during pregnancy. However, fans are very curious to know all about her diet and exercise plans that help her look so fit and perfect.
On Wednesday, Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram handle and shared the secrets behind her flawless figure, she revealed that the secret to her fine figure is a balanced diet.
In her post, she shared a few images of sweet dishes and in the caption, she wrote, “Surprised to see this on my feed? Well, I eat! And I eat well! Ask anyone who knows me. So don’t believe anything else you might hear or read. The trick? Balance, Consistency and Listening to YOUR Body.”
She also denied the fact that to stay fit, you have to always eat less and healthy foods, she said, “There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding around the word ‘Diet’. We often believe that ‘Diet’ means to starve, to eat less and to eat all of the things we detest.
“What ‘Diet’ really means is the total of all the food and drink consumed by an individual. The word actually comes from the Greek word “diaita,” which means way of life.”
“I’ve always, for as long as I can remember, followed a ‘Balanced Diet’. And it is for me ‘a way of life’. I’ve never followed a diet that I cannot be consistent with or one that is a fad."
She further added, “Now, do I indulge? Of course, I do, as demonstrated above!???? But it most certainly isn’t my way of life. Ever heard the phrase ‘you are what you eat?’ If there’s one thing I’ve learnt (the hard-ish way) is that those words couldn’t be truer.

In her post comments, several fans loved and agreed to what she said. One fan said, “Your words resonate exactly what i tell people as a dietitian. People expect that i would be starving and saying no to all foods. Whereas indulgence isn’t bad if its frequency, quantity and quality is balanced.”
