Dara Singh Chauhan, who had recently resigned from the post of Forest and Environment Minister of the Uttar Pradesh government, and BJP's ally Apna Dal (Sonelal) MLA Dr. RK Verma joined the Samajwadi Party along with his supporters on Sunday. In the presence of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at the SP headquarters, the party's state president Naresh Uttam Patel announced the joining of Dara Singh Chauhan and Pratapgarh district MLA RK Verma along with their respective supporters.
On this occasion, Chauhan said that when the BJP government was formed in 2017, the slogan of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas' was given, but later on, everyone was taken together, but development happened for a few people. A few people developed in this state and the rest were left on their own terms.
Dara Singh Chouhan, outgoing Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Madhuban assembly seat of Mau district, coming from the very backward Nonia (Chouhan) fraternity, on January 12 accused the Yogi Adityanath which led BJP government of neglecting the backward, downtrodden, farmers and unemployed. He had resigned from the post of Forest and Environment Minister, accusing him of playing with the reservation of backwards and Dalits.
