Cyrus Mistry Accident: Police case against the doctor who was driving at the time of Cyrus Mistry car accident
Darius Pandole told the police of Kasa police station in Palghar that his wife Anahita Pandole was driving the car in the third lane near the bridge of Surya river where the accident took place. There the road was narrow and his wife could not change lanes.
Cyrus Mistry, a descendant of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group, one of India's most prestigious business families, was killed in a car accident in Palghar, Maharashtra in September. The Casa police have registered a case against Anahita Pandole, who was driving during the accident, under sections 304 (A), 279, 336, 338 in connection with the death of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry.
Mistry's Mercedes doctor was driving Anahita Pandol and the businessman was sitting behind when the accident took place. The police have registered a case in the matter by taking the statement of Anahita's husband Darius Pandole. Darius Pandole, a narrow survivor of the car accident, was discharged from a hospital in Mumbai late last month.
Darius Pandole told in a statement to the police that his wife, Gynecologist Dr Anahita Pandole was driving the car at the time of the accident. He was sitting with her in the front seat. Cyrus Mistry and his brother Jehangir Pandole were sitting in the back seat. They were returning from Gujarat to Maharashtra in a Mercedes-Benz car.
