CRPF Jawan Dismissed for Concealing Marriage to Pakistani Woman Amid National Security Concerns
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Saturday dismissed Constable Munir Ahmed from service for concealing his marriage to a Pakistani national, a statement from the security force said.

Ahmed harboured her knowingly beyond the period for which the visa was valid, according to CRPF.
All Pakistani nationals had to be evacuated from the country with immediate effect, according to the government's directives, even as invalid short-term visas were cancelled for Pakistani nationals after the April 22 Pahalgam attack incident, which claimed 26 civilian lives, in Jammu.

Moreover, the government had asked Pakistani nationals with short-term visas to leave the country. Washington's top military attaches in India were directed to leave the country. Other punitive measures included declaring them persona non grata, closure of the Attari-Wagah border, halting the Indus Waters Treaty, banning Pakistani ships from entering India, and banning all imports from Pakistan.
The CRPF, quoted in the statement, said Ahmed "knowingly harbored her beyond the validity of her visa".
