This incident is being told of the month of February when Sonam Kapoor's in-laws had lodged a complaint of theft with Tughlaq Road police station. Due to the high profile of the matter, the police had kept the news under wraps till now. Apart from the crime team, the FSL team is engaged in gathering evidence. Till now the accused have not got any clue.
Sonam Kapoor's father-in-law Harish Ahuja, mother-in-law Priya Ahuja and Anand Ahuja's grandmother Sarla Ahuja live in the apartment at Amrita Shergill Marg in Delhi. Thieves stole jewelery and cash worth 1.41 crores from this house. Sonam's mother-in-law has lodged a complaint with Tughlaq Road police station and her staff is being questioned in the matter. The report further states that Delhi Police is questioning 25 employees, 9 caretakers, driver, gardener and other employees.
The police have started investigation by registering a case (FIR No. 41/22) on the complaint. The police is now scrutinizing the CCTV footage of one year. Many police of Tughlaq Road police station are searching vigorously for the matter. Sonam Kapoor's husband Anand Ahuja lives in California with his uncle Sunil. He comes and goes often. The victim's family is owned by Sai Exports clothing company.
