Covid 19 Updates : More than 4000 new cases of corona found in the country today, active cases exceeded 25 thousand

There has been a spurt in the cases of Corona in the country (Covid-19 Cases in India). Corona cases have increased on Monday as compared to yesterday i.e. Sunday. The Health Ministry said that in the last 24 hours, 4,518 new cases of corona have been reported. On Sunday, 4,270 cases of corona were registered in the country.

The ministry said that 2,779 people have also been discharged from Corona in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 9 people have died during this period. With this, the active cases have increased to 25,782. So far 4 crore 26 lakh 30 thousand 852 people have been cured from Corona. At the same time, a total of 4 crore 31 lakh 81 thousand 335 cases have been reported so far. The ministry said that a total of 5 lakh 24 thousand 701 people have also died due to corona so far.

Twelve cases of BA4 and BA5 variants of Omicron have been reported in Tamil Nadu. Minister Ma Subramanian informed that out of 150 samples, 12 samples were sent to the laboratory in Hyderabad, in which the new variants have been confirmed. The BA-4 variant has been found in four people, while the BA-5 variant has been found in eight people. All the infected have been isolated.

More than 194 crore doses of corona vaccine have been applied in the country. More than 101 crore people have been given the first dose while more than 89 crore second doses have been administered. Along with this, more than three and a half crore people have also been given precaution doses.
