Covid 19 Updates : More than 1500 people infected with corona virus in a day in Delhi, three died

On Friday, 1,797 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Delhi and one patient died while the infection rate stood at 8.18 percent. This is the fourth consecutive day that the daily number of new cases of Covid-19 in Delhi has been recorded more than 1300 while for the fifth consecutive day more than one thousand new cases have been reported.

The Health Department has said in its latest bulletin that after the new cases were reported on Saturday, the total number of infected people increased to 19,20,559. At the same time, due to the death of three patients, the total number of dead increased to 26,229. 

Amid rising cases of corona virus, Delhi has increased the speed of genome sequencing of samples to detect any new variants of Covid. Officials gave this information on Saturday. According to the data shared by the city's health department here, 1,797 new cases of Covid were reported in Delhi on Friday, which is the highest number of a day in nearly four months. One person also died due to infection on Friday, while the infection rate increased to 8.8 percent.
