Ten Important directions from Home Minister to prevent Covid-19 spread in Delhi
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has issued some important guidelines during the review meeting on November 15 in the light of the constant increase in the cases of Covid-19 in Delhi. Attended by Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal and other prominent health experts, ten major steps decisions were taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Delhi. There are:-
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has issued some important guidelines during the review meeting on November 15 in the light of the constant increase in the cases of Covid-19 in Delhi. Attended by Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal, and other prominent health experts, ten major decisions were taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Delhi. There are:-
(i) Testing capacity to be doubled for RT-PCR test in Delhi
(iii) In view of the shortage of health workers, it has been decided to bring additional doctors and paramedical staff from The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) as soon as possible.
(iii) The Home Minister directed the Union Health Ministry and Delhi Government to make arrangements within the next 48 hours to provide the required number of BIPAP machines (used to treat patients of pulmonary disease) and high flow nasal canulas.
(iv) The door-to-door survey across Delhi will be conducted by teams of AIIMS, Delhi Government, and MCD to identify disease-related individuals and test them separately.
(vi) Mobile testing vans will be deployed by the Health Ministry and ICMR in the slum and poor colonies who are more prone to infection.
(vii) DRDO's existing medical facility at Dhaula Kuan will include 250-300 beds with ICU facilities.
(vii) Availability of beds with oxygen facilities will be increased at the existing 10,000-bed Covid Care Center in Chhatarpur.
(viii) Dedicated multi-departmental teams will visit all private hospitals in Delhi to find out the correct status of availability of beds, medical infrastructure, and patients' status.
(ix) The Union Home Minister specifically emphasized the need to keep watch on patients with home isolation and immediately shift them to regular hospitals if they need the immediate medical facility.
(x) Instructions to Delhi Government and Delhi Police Commissioner to strictly enforce necessary measures for enforcing proper Covid-19 behavior such as wearing of face masks etc
