Coronavirus Updates- India reports 15,786 new cases, 231 deaths in 24 hours

India reported 15786 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare declared on Friday. On these new cases, Kerala has 8733 cases. Currently, India's active cases stand at 1,75,745 which is the lowest in 232 days. The present cases account for less than 1 percent of the total cases in the country, presently at 0.51 percent. It is the lowest since March 2020.

On the other hand, India got a significant feat on Thursday as it completed administering 100 crores doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to eligible beneficiaries. PM Modi described India’s vaccination drive as a journey from anxiety to assurance which has made the country stronger.
