Corbevax vaccine approved in India

Another success has been achieved against Corona. The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the Corona Vaccine Biologicals E Ltd's Corbevax for children in the age group of 12 to 18 years. Bharat Biotech's Covaxin is being given to children aged 15 to 18 years from January 3.

The country has received emergency approval from the drug regulator to administer some Covid-19 vaccines to adolescents in the age group of 12 to 18 years. After a long discussion, from January 3 this year, adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years have started getting the Covid-19 vaccine in India. Bharat Biotech's Covaccine vaccine is being administered only for the age group of 15 to 18 years.
