Congress's members evasion to Samajvadi Party might become a mess : UP Polls
Congress Party is facing an exodus of its party members, as a few have parted ways with the party, and joined different parties. The leaders are significant as they are the party's prominent Bundelkhand leaders and former MLAs, namely Gayadeen Anuragi and Vinod Chaturvedi. All of these political figures joined the Samajwadi Party. Another popular figure, Manoj Tiwari from Mahoba also did the same and joined SP after parting ways with Congress.

This can be a huge demerit for the party as in hardly ten days, a grand rally is to be organized in Varanasi where the AICC General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is to launch the Congress Poll Campaign. At this time, the prominent leaders of the Congress party are abdicating and making a base line for the opposition party.
This exodus came a day after the party’s former MLA and a prominent minority representator in western UP, Imran Masood, said SP was the only option to defeat BJP in the state and that all parties should “come along with it”. Masood also said that despite all the hard work, Priyanka was “failing to consolidate votes or get votes” in favour of the party. Masood, who was earlier with SP, was recently made AICC secretary and given charge of Delhi. Such statements by a prominent leader might be catastrophic for the vote count of the Congress Party.
