In Himachal, a tussle has started in Congress regarding the CM's chair. 6 leaders of the state are claiming the post of Chief Minister. Meanwhile, a dramatic turn came when Himachal in-charge Rajeev Shukla, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singhi Hooda reached the Raj Bhavan to stake claim to form the government. During this, not a single leader of the state was present with him.
State President Pratibha Singh has given clarification on the absence of state leaders in Raj Bhavan. He said that at present the Congress party has not formally submitted its claim to the governor to form the government. When he was asked why the three big Congress leaders sent by the Congress High Command met the Governor? Which letter did he hand over to the Governor?
Pratibha Singh could not give a satisfactory answer on this question. He said- This was a formal meeting of the three leaders with the Governor. They had only gone to inform the Governor about the majority.
The second strongest contender for the post of CM, former state president and election campaign committee chairman Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu did not reach Shimla till 4.30 pm. 18 MLAs are also with him. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's mobile number is also getting switched off. A meeting of the MLAs was called at the State Congress office in Shimla at 3 pm, which has now been shifted to 6 pm.
