Congress former MLA Shiv Dev Singh joins BJP along with supporters
The BJP, which is preparing for the assembly elections in the state, has opened its doors to the leaders and workers of other parties looking for a better future to increase the base.
The Congress, which is struggling to regain its lost ground in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, suffered a major setback on Thursday. Thakur Shivdev Singh, a former Congress MLA from Nagrota and Raipur-Domana assembly constituencies of Jammu district, joined the BJP along with his supporters on Thursday. State President Ravindra Raina, while welcoming him to the BJP in Trikutanagar, Jammu, said that all the leaders and workers should gear up to put their full emphasis on making the BJP Chief Minister in Jammu and Kashmir.
The coming of Thakur Shivdev Singh and his supporters to the BJP has given a boost to the campaign to form the government on their own in Jammu and Kashmir. All the workers should make their full contribution in achieving the goal of Mission 50 Plus. In such a situation, along with Jammu district, programs are being held to connect new workers with other districts of the state.
Former MLAs Devendra Singh Rana, Surjit Singh Salathia, Sham Lal Sharma, Mushtaq Bukhari, Prem Sagar Aziz, Kamal Arora are prominent among the veterans of other parties who have joined BJP from the year 2021. In such a situation, among those who welcomed Shivdev Singh to the BJP on Thursday afternoon at the party headquarters, along with organization general secretary Ashok Kaul, former MLA Devendra Singh Rana, Sham Lal Sharma, district head Rajendra Singh Chib, Kisan Morcha chief Omi Khajuria were also included. Thakur Shivdev Singh said that he was feeling suffocated in the Congress.
The days of terror are over. At present, more than 70 percent of the people in Kashmir want lasting peace. Along with Rana, Sham Lal Sharma also expressed his views and said that Thakur Shivdev Singh is an experienced and hardworking leader. His arrival will strengthen the BJP.
