CM Yogi Adityanath's instructions to the cities of NCR region to be on alert mode due to the increasing cases of corona

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who received worldwide praise for better management during the Corona transition period, has directed the districts of the NCR region to be put on alert mode in view of the increasing cases of corona infection in the last four days. CM Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with Team 09 formed for Covid management at his official residence on Saturday.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that in some states bordering Uttar Pradesh, there has been an increase in the cases of Covid for the last few days. It is also affecting the districts of NCR. 70 new cases have been confirmed in Gautam Budh Nagar and 11 in Ghaziabad. In view of the present circumstances, the entire NCR should be kept in alert mode.

He said that from now onwards genome sequencing should be done in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad by taking samples of people found Covid positive. Along with this, the situation should be thoroughly reviewed by talking to the DM and CMO of these two districts from the government level.

The Chief Minister said that at present the total number of active cases in the state is 507. In the last 24 hours, 73 thousand 881 corona tests were done, in which 106 new corona patients were confirmed. In the same period, 37 people have become free from corona after getting treated. In view of this situation, we have to take utmost care and caution. He said that along with this, communicable diseases and Dastak campaign should be conducted with full readiness. Keeping the focus on malaria in Bareilly division, increase awareness about prevention of dengue in Agra, Lucknow divisions.

Yogi Adityanath said that our important campaign of Covid vaccination is going on successfully. With more than 30.56 million Covid vaccinations, so far more than 103 adult population have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 86 percent of the people have received both the doses. The progress of immunization in the 12 to 14 and 15 to 17 age groups is satisfactory. It should be accelerated very soon.
