CJI Lalit sent three registrars of the Supreme Court to the parent cadre, Suryadevara returned to All India Radio
Apart from this, it has been decided to terminate the services of Additional Registrar Badr-ul-Islam, who was working on deputation even after his retirement in 2019. The reason for sending Suryadevara back to Prasar Bharati and overturning Justice Ramana's decision was not immediately known. Justice Ramana became the 48th CJI on April 24 last year and retired on August 26 this year. While the current CJI UU Lalit will retire on November 8.
The three registrars of the Supreme Court have been sent back to their parent cadres and organizations through separate orders by Chief Justice (CJI) Uday Umesh Lalit. He was on deputation before being absorbed into the permanent service of the apex court. Sources said on Friday that Registrar Rajesh Goel was on deputation to the Supreme Court for the last six-seven years and was later absorbed as a permanent employee.
According to the information, now he has been asked to report back to the Delhi High Judiciary as a judicial officer. Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara was appointed to the rank of Additional Registrar on deputation during the tenure of former CJI NV Ramana. They have been sent back to All India Radio. He was formerly the Joint Director of Prasar Bharati. During the tenure of Justice Ramana, he was handling media related work in the CJI's office. Later he was made registrar.
