Children of 7 states will get corona vaccine; Know how safe it is? Do children need the vaccine or not?

The central government will soon start vaccination for 12-17 year olds in 7 states. The Center has asked these state governments to identify such districts where vaccination has decreased. It is believed that the central government may soon issue a guideline on the vaccination of children.

With this, India will join the list of countries around the world, where children are also being given the corona vaccine.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said that Zycov-D will first be deployed in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. The government has placed an order for one crore doses of Jaykov-D in November itself. The government has asked these states to identify such districts where vaccination has decreased. After that, in such districts, people of 12-17 years of age will be given vaccination.

The government has approved Jayakov-D for the vaccination of children. Jaykov D is created by Zydus Cadila. DCGI had approved the Cadila in August. The vaccine has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUI) approval for all people over the age of 12.

In October, the National Drugs Regulator's Subject Expert Committee (SEC) also recommended Covaxin for emergency use for children. The vaccine is yet to get approval from DCGI. It can be applied to children 2-18 years old.

The second and third phase trials of Covaxin are going on on 920 candidates aged 2-18 years. Different trials are going on for children of 2-6, 6-12 and 12-18 years of Covaxin.Trials of the second and third phases of the biological-E vaccine Corbevax are also going on. The company is conducting trials on 920 candidates in the age group of 5-18 years.American vaccine company Johnson & Johnson is also testing its vaccine on children around the world. This trial is going on in India also on people of 12-17 years.
