The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may have taken a step like conducting the 10th and 12th board examinations in two terms to deal with the current situation of Covid crisis, but now this initiative will continue even further. The Ministry of Education, which is already engaged in improving the board examinations before the National Education Policy (NEP), has indicated this. Along with this, he will also suggest the states to take similar steps to improve their board examinations soon.
According to the Ministry of Education, feedback is also being collected related to the conduct of CBSE board examinations in two terms. On the basis of these, the states will be shown the way to move forward. Anyway, many important recommendations have been made in the National Education Policy regarding the improvement of board examinations. In these, the need for immediate implementation of reforms related to board examinations has been told.
According to the officials associated with the ministry, there is an attempt to completely eliminate the kind of air in the country regarding board examinations. Due to this, the students do not develop properly because instead of acquiring knowledge, their focus is on getting good marks in the examinations all the time. At present, the pattern of board examinations is not compatible with the competitive examinations.
