CBI Arrests Delhi Police Officials: On Saturday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) executed a raid on the Shahbad Dairy, Delhi in the early morning.
The motive of this raid was to arrest the police officers who are reportedly involved in bribery cases.
The officials report that one of the constables among the alleged officers escaped from the scene.
The probe agency reported that the agency has taken Shailesh Kumar, a Civil Defence officer into custody. As per the reports, he was arrested red-handed with a Rs 4,000 bribe amount.
Sources told CBI that two head constables served in the Shahbad Dairy area charged a fee of Rs 20,000 to solve a flight between a husband and wife.
As per the investigation, one of the head constables named Amit Malik booked a room in Rohini, Delhi, which was the birde delivery location.
However, the CBI prepared a trap after their raid but the head constable ran away. But Shailesh Kumar was taken into custody on the spot.
After receiving a detailed report from the CBI, the Delhi Police filed a FIR for further action.
After the incident, the Delhi Police Commissioner issued a new rule that any SHO (Station House Officer) of a police station that the CBI raided would be fired immediately.

The current case will include the Shahbad Dairy police station and a head constable, the SHO will not be in charge of his duties.
This ride conducted by the CBI was a big step in reducing the corruption in the Delhi Police. As per the official reports, the CBI has arrested several Delhi police officers in the past 2 months.
According to the reports, six SHOs have been relieved of their tasks because of these operations.
