Caught on Camera: The footage of surveillance caught the instant chilling moment in Heilongjiang province when a Siberian tiger charged madly towards the gate of the farm which was only a few seconds after a man just closed it. This image of the event, quite dramatic, went viral on social media and raised concern among people and authorities.
According to news agency Reuters, this incident followed a string of tiger encounters in that region leading to authorities' discouragement of the local residents against risking their lives outdoors. An old cattle farmer, Zhao,65, had to be hospitalized after the attack and also required surgery to save the left hand.

The son of Zhao reported that there were two roaming tigers, while officials have not yet confirmed the actual number or if any of them were caught. Authorities have put out a call to citizens to report any sighting of these felids and take measures that would protect their livestock. Notices have been disseminated to encourage local residents to bring their animals into protection, coordinate patrols, and remain vigilant during the early morning and dusk hours which are when the Siberian tiger is usually more active.
“Siberian tigers can coexist with humans and are not typically aggressive,” one official notice stated, as per Reuters. Nonetheless, these local residents have been warned not to draw close but take other safety precautions.
