Copies of all documents related to the ownership of both the rice mills have also been asked to be submitted to the CBI. If sources are to be believed, the CBI may also interrogate the officials of the Food Department in the coming days.
Trinamool Congress's Bahubali leader Anubrata Mandal, arrested in the animal smuggling case, may face problems in the coming days. According to the information, the investigation of the animal smuggling case has now shifted the eyes of the CBI to the rice mills of Anubrata Mandal.
The CBI has received information that the government paddy arrived in Anubrata's Bhole Bam and Shiv Shambhu rice mills, but the rice was not returned after preparation, but in lieu of this, a bill of crores of rupees was given. It has been learned that both these rice mills are listed in the food department of the state.
According to sources, the CBI has now written a letter to the District Controller of Food and Supplies, Birbhum, asking questions in this case. The CBI has wanted to know that how much paddy was taken from the government in both the rice mills from the financial year 2015-16 till today? How much and in what manner was the state government paid in lieu of this? Was TDS deducted on the amount paid?
Copies of all documents related to the ownership of both the rice mills have also been asked to be submitted to the CBI. If sources are to be believed, the CBI may also interrogate the officials of the Food Department in the coming days.
