BJP will contest the election of 2024 under the chairmanship of Nadda, the decision of the party's parliamentary board will extend the term
The BJP emerged as the main opposition party in Bengal with great strength. In the last assembly elections in Bihar, BJP emerged as the single largest party. In all the by-elections held in the country in three years during his presidency, about 56 percent of the seats went to the BJP.
Under the chairmanship of JP Nadda, a confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP will contest the next Lok Sabha elections of 2024. Nadda's current term ends on January 20 next year. Before that, the Parliamentary Board will approve the decision to extend his term. The term of the President in BJP is three years and it can be for two consecutive terms. In the current situation, elections are going to be held continuously.
Assembly elections are due in November-December in Gujarat and Nadda's own home state Himachal. Elections can be held in Karnataka as well as in Jammu and Kashmir in March-April next year. In this context, the party leadership has made up its mind that by postponing the election of the President, Nadda's tenure should be extended by about one and a half years so that the party can implement the strategy without any distraction till the Lok Sabha elections.
The decision of extension of tenure falls within the jurisdiction of the Parliamentary Board itself. On the other hand, there is a whole process of elections which is given final approval in the meeting of the National Council. Anyway, the way Nadda campaigned by establishing dialogue within the party during the Kovid transition period, its effect was clearly visible. It was during his tenure that the party came to power by winning again in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

The specialty of Nadda is that he is also loyal to Prime Minister Modi and dear to the Sangh. Not only this, they are easily accessible to the workers. In such a situation, the command of the party is likely to remain in his hands for the time being.
